Students will calculate densities using the measured mass, length, and diameter of three different metal cylinders. Densities will be compared to accepted standards and statistical analyses performed.

Each lab bench should have three cylinders of different metals. Loyd calls for brass, iron, and aluminum, but copper, steel, and aluminum work just as well.
Make sure that the paper drawers and printers are well-stocked.
