PHY 201 & 231

Lab PDF

Previously Extending the Model for Electric Current. Students combine what they learned about series and parallel circuits to further explore how circuits work.

Notes

If power supplies aren't in 105A they may be on cart JE 105A-016 which is often left in room JE 109. Make sure power supplies are all turned off, the knobs are all turned counter-clockwise as far as they can and the switches on the sides are on V, not MA. The circuits of 5 bulb holders soldered together should be filled with bulbs, #41 are okay as well. Place bulbs in the 3 loose holders as well. Blown bulbs have been finding their way back to the main supply of bulbs, so check all bulbs when setting up the lab.
